How to Enter The KCM Marathon 2026

Step 1: Register Online

Secure your entry through The KCM Marathon website and complete your payment. You will receive a confirmation email with your ticket and reference number. Keep this safe — you will need it to collect your race pack.

Step 2: Race Pack Collection

Location: Nchanga Golf Club

Dates & Times:
• 6th – 9th April: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM

⚠️ No collection on race day. All race numbers and goodie bags must be collected in advance.

What You Must Bring:

Email or printed copy of your Tessera ticket (with reference number)
Proof of payment

Step 3: Race Bib Collection & Swapping Rules

A written consent letter is required to collect a race bib on someone else’s behalf.
Any substitutions, upgrades, or downgrades will incur a K50 cash fee per change, payable before race numbers are released.
No race bib swapping is allowed.
Participants found swapping race bibs will be immediately disqualified.

These rules are enforced in accordance with Athletics Zambia regulations.
Fair play is key — ensure compliance to avoid disqualification.

Step 4: Race Day Entrance Requirements

To enter The KCM Marathon on race day:

Runners & Participants: Must display their wristband or race bib.
Wristbands must be securely fastened — loose or unfastened wristbands will not be accepted.
VIP Guests: Must display their VIP wristbands.
Normal card access holders will be allowed entry as usual.

🚫 No race pack collections will be available at the gate on race morning.
Avoid delays — make sure everything is prepared in advance for smooth entry.

Can I transfer my marathon entry to another person? Can I request a refund?

Entry transfers, substitutions, and name changes are strictly prohibited.
These measures are in place to protect participants’ safety and ensure valid insurance coverage. In the event of a medical emergency, response teams rely on the personal information provided during registration.
Competing under another individual’s name is unsafe and violates Athletics Zambia regulations. Any participant found in breach of this policy will be disqualified and may face suspension from future events.

What should I do if I am no longer able to participate?

If you are unable to take part in the event, you may request a refund before 24th March. Approved refunds will be processed less a small administrative fee.
To apply, please email events@thekcmmarathon.com and include your ticket confirmation, full name, registered distance, and reason for withdrawal.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Is it possible to amend my registration details?

Yes, amendments to your registration — including substitutions, distance upgrades, or downgrades — are permitted. However, each change will incur a K50 administrative fee per entry.
This fee must be settled at race number collection before the updated race number is issued. Participants are encouraged to finalize any changes prior to collecting their race packs.

What is the minimum age requirement to participate in the marathon?

Participants must be 17 years or above to compete in the 42km marathon and 16 years or above to participate in the 21km race.
All age requirements must be met on or before race day. Proof of age may be requested during registration or race pack collection.
